I have 2 antique sewing machines I would like to get an estimate of value for.? One is a Pfaff 130 - which is in excellent condition. I have the instruction book, accessories, and even the receipt from when it was purchased in December of 1952. The other machine is called a 60 Deluxe Precision. It is also in good condition, but this is all I know about this machine. I would appreciate any help you could give me.
How much is my antique sewing machine worth? I got an antique sewing machine from my grandmother. It is a portable, in the case model that says "The Free Sewing Machine Co., Chicago." It is black with gold painting and electric. Can anyone point me to where I could locate its worth and where I could possibly sell it?? Thanks!
My antique sewing machines bobbin wont thread. What could i be doing wrong? Today my mom bought me an antique sewing machine. I'd say its from the 50s or so. I believe its a Mercury. On the very top it says Precision De Luxe and the front has a little silver plaque that says Sew Mor. Well I took the bobbin out of its little place under the needle and put it in its other place where it goes to be threaded. I snapped down the little thing to hold it in place and I press the pedal so it will thread. Problem is it doesn't thread. The needle goes up and down but the bobbin doesn't move. Is it broken or am I just missing a step? Theres a lever that control whether the feet are up or down. Does it matter if they're up or down? There is also another lever but I'm not sure what it does. It's currently all the way up in a blank area but if i lower it, it will be next to some numbers. On the left side of the lever there are the numbers 30, 15, 10, and 7. On the right there are the number 20, 12, 8, and 6. Does it matter where that lever is. Also on the base of the sewing machine theres a knob that can be set to different parts of the base of the knob. The base of the knob says down, 1, 2, 3 and up. I think its stuck though and can only go to down and 1, it won't go any further. I also notice that at the end of the little rod where you put the bobbin to thread it theres a little wheel. It looks like there should be a band there to connect it to the large wheel that controls the needle. I tried putting a hair tie there to see if it would work and the bobbin jiggled a bit so I un did the lever that holds it in place to turn the bobbin but it fell. I picked it up, wound it back up and put it back on. When I pushed the pedal again to see if it would thread it didn't do anything. Could it be that the hair tie is too thick? Would a thin rubber band do the trick? I've never used a sewing machine before so I honestly don't know. I only know how to sew by hand. We bought the machine at an antique store and it was on clearance from $200 to $20. We couldn't pass it up so we bought it. Even if it doesn't work its nice to have and pretty to look at. It was only $20 dollars so not a big loss. The actual sewing part appears to work so I threaded the bobbin by hand and am about to attempt to thread the machine to start sewing.

can you tell me more about the antique sewing machine I just bought? I know that it's atleast 80 years old if not older. It requires no electricity to use it, just the foot pedal. It sits in a table and folds open to use as a sewing machine or closed to be a table. On it is printed the words "National Rotary". It also has five patented dates: 8-18-14, 2-9-15, 2-16-15, 3-2-15, and 4-6-15. If there is anyone who could tell me anything about this machine it would be great.
What is this antique sewing machine? My great aunt recently passed away and left me an antique Singer. She was born in 1919, and the sewing machine was her grandmother's, so I know it's from the 19th century, but don't know the real date. It looks like it is made of iron and decorated with black laquer and gold, and folds down into the little desk/table thing which has drawers on each side and the iron foot peddle. 1) What exactly do I have? 2) What is the apprx dollar value of the thing? 3) any ideas about where I could sell it?
Antique Singer sewing machine: any idea how much it could be worth? My dad has just inherited an antique Singer sewing machine. The serial number suggests it was produced in the 1890s. The machine is in very good condition (gold transfers still there) and comes in a quite ornate wooden box with turned handles. Any rough idea of how much it could be worth?

Antique Sewing macine? I have an antique sewing machine. It is not the a typical machine. I have asked this question before and everyone seems to think that it is an average treadle machine. This one is made by Singer. It stands approx 4 1/2 feet tall. It is not in a table. It was made in 1896 and is an industrial machine, Model 7. It weights an easy 300lbs. I am looking for any information that I can possibly find. I have already tried to google it and have contacted Singer. I am trying to find someone who may also know about this rare machine. I would like to know what its value might be and if there is a manual for this machine. It even has what is believed to be the original belt. It looks as if it was made for sewing leather. Singer does not have this info. All that they could tell me is the date that it was made and the model number. Please help.
Antique Atlas sewing machine? About 30 years ago, my aging Aunt gave me an antique sewing machine. I'm not that much of a seamstress, but it sews very well, and that's all I need. It is evidentally solid cast iron, judgine by its weight, and beautifully painted. I found a nice case that fits it perfectly. I don't want to give it up, but I'm curious as to its value.
antique Sewing machine help, please? I have a antique 403 Slant-O-Matic Singer sewing machine. It was my great grandmothers, so I'm really happy to have it. I have worked with sewing machines before, so i kind of know what I'm doing. I pay very close attention to the manual when threading it, but when I go to sew, it backlashes big time. I figured out the bottom bobbin is not sewing, but just sitting there. My neighbor who has a similar machine told me to try turning the bobbin in the opposite direction then in the manual because she had to do it, but that doesn't help either. Is there anything else I can do other than carry it in to an expensive fixing? I really want to use it, but this is a major set-back. Thanks.
