How do I sew my jeans by hand without a sewing machine by hand?
I bought some Levi's 501 really cheap today, like 3 bucks, on sale. I am wondering how to hand sew these pants so it would be slimmer around legs because it is kind of baggy and I want a slim fit? I don't want to bring it to the tailor since it would cost more than the pants. So any techniques and instructions on how to do this and also please provide materials needed. Thanks for your help!

- well to sew by hand is start over and go over and under like a ABABABAB pattern A is over B is under
- This probably won't help much, but when I don't want to spend money, I find a friend that knows how to sew really well (or even my mom, she sews) and they do my pants/shirts or whatever I need done for free because I can't sew.
- Well, you could try this. This is only a suggestion. I can not guarantee anything. Although I have found success using this method for anothe kind of clothing. Find the inside seam. You must turn the pants inside out first. Get a tool that takes the thread out of the seam. Then use pins to pin them back together so that they will be less space in the legs part than there was before. Sew them using a backstich that is very small and tight. I
