Sewing Machine For Sale

New Home Sewing Machine - value?

I purchased a New Home sewing machine at a yard sale this weekend. It is in real good condition, and seems to be at least 50 - 60 years old. It came with immaculate accessories from a company named Greist. It has a Westinghouse motor, and it is the light running model, rotary needle. It is in a brownish/yellow carrying case. If you have any info on value or where to go to find out, I would appreciate it. Thanks!

  1. Your New Home sewing machine dates from the very early fifties. They were good machines, and have an aluminum head, which makes them much lighter than other machines. The feed and bobbin race are gear-driven, making a very smooth running machine. Unfortunately, they are worth very little; around 30 dollars or so. Old sewing machines are just too common to have much value, but that is slowly changing as more and more of them go to the dump.
