I have an old Dressmaker sewing machine, and it didn't come with bobbins. How do I know what size to get?
I bought the sewing machine at a yard sale, but it didn't come with an owner's manual. I have no idea what size bobbins to purchase. Is there a way to measure, or to tell what size I need to buy?

- Here is a site that lists manuals for several models - http://www.sewusa.com/Sewing_Machine_Manuals/Dressmaker_Sewing_Machines.htm Size 15/class A is the most popular size used in sewing machines.......you will need to know if you should use plastic or metal bobbins...........if the bobbin case is plastic, use plastic bobbins to avoid wear.
- First find out the name brand of the machine. There should be an I.D. number on either the front panel or on the backside. There is a bobbin case that can be released, take it out, take it to a sewing center. They will tell you what you will need to purchase.
